Our Story

Gatitos Cafe was born in 2024 in the colonial city of Comayagua, Honduras, as a family venture created with love and necessity. Its origin was simple yet profound: to provide a dignified job opportunity for an elderly woman and to create a different space, full of warmth and tenderness.

What started in a small garage, with coffee, bread, and two kittens sleeping in front of the shop, grew thanks to the love of the community. People of all ages found in Kittens Café a place to feel good, share smiles, and connect..

Today, that dream is reborn with more strength. Coffee Kittens is preparing to open a new chapter in San Salvador, carrying with it its essence: love for cats, social commitment, and a safe environment for everyone.

Our Kittens

Gatitos Café was born from real stories, rescued paws, and a deep love for those who have no voice.

Now all the kittens have been adopted except for Ragnar. He has been with us since 2019 and helps us raise and integrate other kittens into the café.

Founding Kittens

They were there from the beginning, when Gatitos Café was just a dream in a small garage in Comayagua.

Ragnar

He slept in front of the café, won hearts, and became one of the first faces of Kittens Café.

Estela

He arrived to us small. We thought he was a female cat, but he was a little male and learned his name very well. He meows when you call him..

Gotita

Alia "The Fat Cat" was the spoiled one, chubby and gossipy. She would climb onto a chair near the window to watch the street.

Nabil

The alpha of the pack, he led and defended the other kittens when they were scared.

Vilmita

The friendliest of the pack, solitary, strong, a survivor of a dog attack. My best friend gave her to me as a birthday gift.

Vicky

The most docile, affectionate, and a little ball of love. Only she allowed herself to be "cuddled" when all the sick ones arrived in a box.

Whitey

Shy and stressed, but little by little he gained confidence with us and played all around the house.

Careta

A little ball of love, affectionate, she hid everywhere and gave us big scares. I hope she doesn't get lost!

Ila

Shy, she only passed by her siblings. Sleepy and playful.
